Frequently asked questions

Yes — we repair discontinued A1S, A2S, A3H and AnS platforms. We have components for regenerating these controllers. This is a much faster and cheaper solution than replacing the entire control system.

Yes — before every repair we create a backup of the PLC program from the controller memory. The program is returned with the device. If read-back is not possible (damaged memory), we inform you before proceeding with the repair.

Diagnostics: up to 5 business days (priority for stopped lines). Repair after approval: 5–7 business days (after receiving necessary components). Express mode available on request. As a rule — repair time may be significantly extended depending on component availability and repair complexity. Deadlines are agreed individually with the client.

Yes — we repair CC-Link master and slave cards (QJ61BT11N and others), Ethernet modules and RS-232/485 communication cards. After repair we verify communication correctness on a test bench.

We return the device; if repair is declined, we charge a diagnostics fee (300 PLN net). We assist in finding a replacement or advise on upgrading to a newer MELSEC series.

Mitsubishi PLC Repair — MELSEC iQ-R, Q, and FX Series

Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC PLCs — iQ-R, Q-series, L-series, FX5U, and legacy FX3U/A-series — are among the most widely deployed PLCs in Asian and European manufacturing. The MELSEC platform spans from compact FX micro-PLCs for simple machines to high-performance iQ-R systems managing complex production lines with integrated motion control, safety, and network connectivity. Mitsubishi PLCs are standard equipment in automotive, semiconductor, food processing, and general manufacturing.

Common Mitsubishi PLC failures include CPU module processor and memory faults, battery-backed SRAM loss from depleted batteries (causing program and data loss), power supply module degradation, I/O module output transistor burnout (particularly in high-cycle discrete output applications), analog module channel drift, and communication module failures (CC-Link, CC-Link IE, MELSECNET, Ethernet). Legacy A-series and FX2N modules face increasing component aging, while Q-series modules may develop bus connector and backplane communication issues.

At EFIXLAB, we repair Mitsubishi MELSEC PLCs across all product families. Our service covers CPU module board diagnostics and component-level repair, power supply rebuild, I/O module output driver replacement and analog calibration, communication module interface repair, and special function module restoration. We back up and verify PLC programs using GX Works diagnostics and test inter-module communication thoroughly.

Mitsubishi PLC repair delivers excellent value — typically 35–60% savings versus new module purchase. This is particularly important for legacy A-series and FX2N systems where Mitsubishi has discontinued production. For Q-series and iQ-R modules, repair offers meaningful savings while preserving existing automation program compatibility. All Mitsubishi PLC repairs include comprehensive functional testing and our 12-month warranty.
